Scope

The PACIFIC RIM CONFERENCE ON CERAMIC AND GLASS TECHNOLOGY (PACRIM) is a biennial conference held through collaboration among the ceramic societies of the Pacific Rim countries-The Chinese Ceramic Society, American Ceramic Society, Ceramic Society of Japan, Korean Ceramic Society, and the Australian Ceramic Society. The 1st PACRIM conference was hosted by the American Ceramic Society at Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1993. Since then, the conferences have been held in Australia, Canada, China, Korea, Japan, and US. Over the years, the conferences have established a strong reputation as a forum for the discussions and information exchange on the state-of-the-art and emerging topics in ceramics technologies. The 15th PACRIM conference (PACRIM15) returns to China since PACRIM7 was held in Shanghai 16 years ago in 2007. So, we are very honored and delighted to welcome you to PACRIM15 during November 5-9, 2023 in Shenzhen, which is very famous for the open and tolerate policy, renovation, high-tech, and one of the top ten livable cities in China. We are also very excited to have the 13th International Conference on High-Performance Ceramics (CICC-13) simultaneously. Thus, the PACRIM15 & CICC-13 will merge into a big PACRIM15 at this conference venue.
PACRIM15 will provide a unique forum for knowledge exchange and sharing, and facilitate the establishment of new contacts and friendships from all over the world. The technical program with 27 symposia will cover a wide range of exciting and emerging topics that includes advanced modeling, simulation, and characterization; novel and strategic processing and manufacturing; advanced structural ceramics for extreme environments; low dimensional and nano-ceramics; functional ceramics for energy systems and sensing devices; ceramics for environmental systems; and biomaterials, biomimetics and bioinspired ceramics. All of the symposia planned will identify global challenges and opportunities for various ceramic technologies.
To engage and promote future leaders in the field of ceramics science and technology, PACRIM15-Young Scholars Forum is being organized to offer a platform for global young scholars to exchange research ideas and promote international collaborations. Through the forms of special reports, academic seminars and talent talks, the Forum seeks to attract excellent young scholars with established academic achievements and outstanding potential in innovating future development of advanced ceramics.
To promote the effectiveness and efficiency of technology transfer and commercialization practices in the region, a special symposium is planned with the theme, PACRIM Enterprise Forum. This special topic symposium will enhance the Interactions with faculty, students, researchers, and R&D personnel as well as managers from universities, research institutes, and enterprise around the world, and help to advocate your company’s research and strategic agenda, and secure substantive meetings with your targeted faculty and researchers.
We would like to invite all of you to take advantage of this opportunity tojoin us in Shenzhen to actively participate in this conference. PACRIM15 & CICC-13 will provide an excellent forum for the interactions and friendships with participants from various continents, who will be involved in the research, development, engineering, manufacturing, and application of ceramics technologies.
